After Ivrea, Roma, Split and Timisoara the 5th Convivio Summer School came to Edinburgh, August 14th-25th.
The theme this year was: "Technology, Enjoying or Enduring it? Visions, Boundaries and Transformations in Extending or Replacing Human Capacities."

An important part of Convivio’s activities are those which support professional researchers, developers and designers in their work.
Interaction Museum
Over the past thirty years a great number of human-computer interaction techniques have been developed but few people know about them and books and papers don’t do them justice.
The Interaction Museum is an on-line resource being developed by INRIA in Paris aimed at HCI researchers, designers, teachers and students.
It will collect together a wide variety of historical and current interaction techniques and systems and make them available to the HCI community.

The Convivio website is a source of current news and comment about interaction design topics, interesting both to professionals and to those interested in the field.
This resource is planned to map the research and design activity in Europe, so people can see the breadth of work going on.
Mobility grants
Convivio’s mobility grants enable a lively interaction among the network members across Europe and beyond project teams.
Convivio supports the movement of researchers and practioners between centres as well as workshops and meetings.
Other activities that support the Convivio objectives can also be proposed.
